Description

Still Small Voice starts off with an energetic, convention-style-number, Dead Man Walking, featuring lead singer Clayton Inman, who had sung with the Singing Americans and the Kingdom Heirs, and would go on to perform with Triumphant Quartet. With the second song, Only Through the Cross, Inman paints a vivid picture both of the differences and of the common thread uniting all who stand before the throne of Christ. Tenor Greg Shockley takes the lead on an uptempo song about salvation, Lord Save Me.

Baritone David Jenkins' first solo on the project is Dying to Know Me, a moving ballad penned by Phil Cross and Tony Hullender. David Jenkins wrote the fifth song, Living Water, several years before this cut; it was previously recorded on Roger, Debra and Lauren, the debut project of the Talley Trio.

Clayton Inman is featured on the project's one easily recognizable classic track, a new interpretation of the Oak Ridge Boys classic song King Jesus. The following song, I Just Can't Make it By Myself, is a new song, not the same as the Cathedrals' track by the same name. Where the River Runs Red is a slow, thoughtful song about salvation featuring Inman and Shockley. The tempo picks up for Nothing's Gonna Knock Me Off the Rock, featuring Greg Shockley. As the song's title suggests, Still Small Voice, is a subdued, gentle closing track; it features David Jenkins.
