Details about Tim Surrett

Tim Surrett grew up in Canton, North Carolina, rooted in the Gospel and Bluegrass sounds prominent in the area. After playing in the Kingsmen's band for several years, he joined the Isaacs. He subsequently returned to the Kingsmen for several years, before launching a solo career in 2005. In 2007, he joined four other Bluegrass musicians hailing from his home country to form the bluegrass group Balsam Range. He has performed at numerous prestigious venues, including the Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall, the Ryman Auditorium, and the National Quartet Convention, and has been honored as the Favorite Musician of the Year in the Singing News Fan Awards.
