Before embarking on a ministry with his wife, Mary Alice, Tim spent several years traveling with the Florida Boys, the Kingsmen, and Jake Hess. Their comedy and singing talent has been featured in venues as diverse as the Templeton Tours' Singing at Sea, the Gospel Music Television Network, and the Gaither Homecoming videos. They have performed across the U.S. and Canada, the British Isles, and Central America. 

Tim is also a songwriter whose songs have been cut on the Gaither Homecoming series and by numerous groups, including The Cathedrals, Gold City, The Nelons, Ivan Parker, Palmetto State, and The Kingdom Heirs. He has been honored with Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductions for his work with the Florida Boys and the Kingsmen.
