Stubborn Love is a mixed Southern Gospel trio based in Laurel, Mississippi. Michael McKnight, Geneva Myers, and Ruby Priott are the vocal members; Ruby's husband Joe also tours with the group. The inspiration for the group's name is drawn from Romans 5:8 ("But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.") The group states: "While WE were YET sinners, Christ died for US. Now greater minds than ours have written volumes on this wondrous text but in simple terms...God Loves Us Stubbornly."
