Sandy Knight has been a noted Southern Gospel songwriter for over two decades. She has had numerous radio hits, and two of her songs ("Somebody Touched the Lord," Perfect Heart, 1991 and "I'll Not Turn My Back on Him Now," The Inspirations, 2002) have been named "Song of the Year" in the Singing News Fan Awards. She sings with her husband, Roy Knight, in the Roy Knight Singers.
