Ryan Seaton was a quiet child, too shy to sing in public. But in the seventh grade, a pretty girl named Krista persuaded him to join the choir.
In his sophomore year of high school, he joined a barbershop quartet and came to love four-part harmony. He saw his first Gospel quartet, the Cathedrals, shortly after he graduated from high school, He immediately knew what he was destined to do. He developed a friendship with the Cathedrals' tenor, Ernie Haase. He auditioned for several quartets and ultimately joined the Melody Boys Quartet. After almost a year with that group, Ernie Haase invited him to join Signature Sound Quartet. During his time with Signature Sound, the group won three Dove Awards, had one Grammy nomination, and had two Gold certified albums.
In 2004, during his time with Signature Sound, Ryan married Krista - the same girl who talked him into joining choir in the seventh grade. Their first daughter, Olivia, was born in 2006; their second, Ella Claire, was born in 2007. In 2009, Ryan left Signature Sound and made a giant leap into the unknown, launching a solo career. His debut solo album, "The Stage is Bare," came out in 2010.
