The Primitive Quartet started around a campfire on a fishing trip. Four young men - two Wilson brothers and two Riddle brothers - sat around and sang in four-part harmony. They started singing in churches around their area - and four decades later, three of those brothers are still with the group, and a third Riddle brother has joined.
They sing in a traditional mountain style, and play all their own music on their recordings and personal appearances. They state, "We count it a joy and privilege to spread the gospel through song. Our ultimate goal is to see saints blessed and encouraged to have a closer walk with God and to help lead souls to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ."
