How can I find the music I downloaded?

Windows:

  • Press the start button.
  • Click "Search."
  • Click "For Files or Folders."
  • Click "All Files and Folders."
  • Type in the song's most distinctive keyword.
  • Press search.
  • Look through the list of results for your file.

Mac:

  • Press Cmd-Spacebar to open Spotlight.
  • Type in the song's most distinctive keyword.
  • Look through the list of results for your file..

If you still do not see the song, you may not have followed correct procedure when downloading it. Correct procedure is:

  1. When you download a track from your Song Vault, select the download option, not the play/open option. (This is because selecting the open/play option stores the track in your temporary files, where you will be unable to access it in the future. Downloading the file transfers it to your hard drive.)
  2. Save the file to your favorite music player program's default folder:
    • For Windows Media Player (in Windows), this may be C:\\Users\(your username)\Music or C:\\Users\(your username)\Documents\My Music.
    • For iTunes (in Windows); this may be C:\\Users\(your username)\Documents\My Music\iTunes
