David Johnson is a noted studio position, a regular player on most Crossroads releases. He started playing music in the 1960s with assorted bands. A few years later, he got his first taste of studio work, and has consistently worked in studios since. He plays guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, bass, autoharp, pedal steel guitar, and assorted other instruments. In addition to his work on Crossroads artists' and other artists' studio projects, he has utilized his instrumental skills on a number of solo releases issued by Crossroads over the years.
