Cross 4 Crowns was formed in 2003 and started touring nationally in 2005. They signed with Crossroads in May 2008, and Turning Point is their major-label debut. The album was produced by Arthur Rice and has a mixture of classics, forgotten gems, and brand new songs. Bass singer Justin Terry takes the lead on two strong but forgotten convention songs from the Kingsmen repertoire, "Things That I'm Seeing" and "Take a Little Look." He's also featured on a bluesy quartet song from the pen of Dianne Wilkinson, "Tell Me Who."

Former Dixie Echoes tenor Dallas Rogers, who went on to join the Inspirations, was probably the most recognizable face in the group at the time of the recording. He's featured on "I'll See You Home." Other highlights include "Hallelujah for the Cross" and the radio single "Celebrating Resurrection Morning."
