We are very blessed to have the Primitive Quartet back again for what I would guess would be about the 20th recording they’ve done with us…maybe more! You just don’t meet anyone any nicer than these guys. The popular Primitive Quartet are recording again this month at Crossroads Studios and members Mike, Reagan and Larry Riddle, Norman Wilson, Randy Fox and Jeff Tolbert were all very excited about their upcoming release later this spring. “It’s always good to be back at Crossroads for our annual recording”, states Mike Riddle. “We’ve been recording here for 20 years or more, and every year they seem to improve. It’s our privilege to have the legendary Primitive Quartet at Crossroads…and thanks for the brownies and cake too!!

Pinnacle Records, a division of Crossroads Music, is proud to welcome the group Heaven’s Call to the label. The group is in Crossroads Studios this month to record a new project that will be digitally distributed by the Crossroads on-line web store. Based in Lemont, Illinois, the group consists of four vocalists: Judy and Ken Garland, Chris Gauthier, Jim Moomchi and Hammond B3 player Tim Garland. Tim plays the organ live in concert surrounded by the vocals of this talented group. This year marks the release of this new project on Pinnacle as well as national touring opportunities for the group.

It was at NQC last year that Crossroads and Heaven’s Call took the first steps towards a recording commitment. Tim Garland adds this about the process of recording at Crossroads studios, “The songs they pitched to us were superb and so were the talents of producer Jeff Collins. From the publishing department run by Greg Bentley to the radio support of Jim Stover, it has been a special blessing to work with the entire staff and we are so glad to be on board. Crossroads was our very first choice of companies we wanted to work with.”

Look for the yet to be titled release in stores this Spring and listen for a great new single available to radio this Spring on the Crossroads Airplay Sampler and via digital download.

Arden, NC – The Kingsmen bring an exciting new release to Southern Gospel May 20th on Horizon Records. Produced by Jeff Collins, the release, “When God Ran”, promises to be an exciting new step for the Kingsmen. The album offers 10 stellar tracks and includes the talents of such notable writers as Rebecca Peck, Chris Binion, Jerry Salley, Sandy Knight and others. Track highlights include “Gospel Road”, “The Cloud He’s Coming Back On”, and the title track “When God Ran”.

“Mickey Gamble, I, and our team at Crossroads wanted to create a new direction for the Kingsmen (while remaining true to the Kingsmen tradition) that could appeal to a wide audience. With the talents of Ray Reece, Brandon Reece, Bryan Hutson, Phillip Hughes, and Harold Reed along with fantastic songs from gifted song writers, the end result is one I’m certainly proud of. I think this recording is one of their very best and I hope it’s a tremendous blessing to all who hear it!, states Producer Jeff Collins.

New to the Kingsmen vocal line-up with this release is new tenor Harold Reed formally of the Florida Boys and returning to the quartet is baritone singer Bryan Hutson.
Although the physical CD will be available in stores after May 20th, the project is available now for digital download at crossroadsmusic.com. Be sure to listen for the new single When God Ran on your favorite Gospel radio station.
