The Down East Boys are in the studio today, working with our studio musicians on tracks for their upcoming summer release. It will feature mostly new songs, and a classic or two. Here is a video of Ricky Carden, Tony Jarman, Daryl Paschal, and the Crossroads studio musicians (Jeff Collins, Tony Creasman, Jeremy Medkiff, David Johnson, and engineer Van Atkins) dusting off a classic, “Redemption Draweth Nigh”:
Back home again. One Day is the first release from the Down East Boys since their return to Sonlite Records. Featuring the single “Joseph Got His Tomb Back.”
After a 20 year break, Sonlite Records and the Down East Boys have re-united their relationship in a new long term record contract. The Down East Boys started their career in the mid 80’s by singing throughout the eastern Carolina coast. They signed their first national recording contract In 1989 with Sonlite Records. They recorded their first national hit song, Beautiful Valley, in that same year. (more…)
