Every month, Crossroads Entertainment & Marketing releases new songs to radio stations throughout the United States, Canada, and in several other parts of the world. Our January 2012 Crossroads Airplay Sampler had the top four most favored songs in the Nation, according to the Singing News Top 10 New Releases list to be published in March 2012. So, we just had to send this shout-out thank you to our terrific DJ friends for making The Kingsmen “Loving Shepherd, Gracious God”, The Crist Family “I Love You Son”, The Inspirations “Talk About Dying” and Tribute Quartet’s “Homecoming Day” the # 1, 2, 3 and 4 TOP deejay-favorite songs received by their station in January.
We appreciate our deejays friends and the work they tirelessly do, and the listeners who call them and request the music!

Burke’s Brainwork features Beyond the Ashes

Posted on: June 21st, 2011 by

Burke’s Brainwork featured a review of Beyond the Ashes’ new release Treasures Unseen yesterday afternoon. Wes Burke gave the project 8.5 stars, concluding:

Listeners probably aren’t nearly as familiar with Casey Rivers or Kellan Monroe, but if this recording is any indication, they soon will be.  Producer Wayne Haun, along with Beyond The Ashes have put together an album that makes quite an effective announcement of the group in the SG world.  … If you like your music with an edge, you will DEFINITELY want to check out Beyond The Ashes.

Crossroads/Mountain Home at IBMA

Posted on: October 15th, 2009 by

I had a great time representing Crossroads/Mountain Home at this year’s International Bluegrass Music Association’s yearly conference in Nashville, Tn. Highlights included seeing a great showcase Monday night of our newly signed artist, Darin and Brooke Aldridge, visiting with Andrea Roberts and Jessie Law from the Andrea Roberts Agency, and catching up with former Mountain Home Recording artists The Lonesome River Band, New Found Road and Dale Ann Bradley. It was also great to see our friend and Horizon Recording Artist Doyle Lawson who is making plans for an upcoming Gospel release in 2010! I also attended the IBMA’s yearly awards ceremony at the Ryman Auditorium on Thursday, October 1st. The company was not nominated for a particular award as in years past but it was a pleasure to sit in the historic Ryman and watch performances by some of the best in the Bluegrass world.
The week rounded out on Friday and Saturday, October 2nd and 3rd, with Bluegrass Fan Fest. The weekend included performances by the top new and established acts in the industry including Doyle Lawson and my good friends and Mountain Home Artists, Balsam Range. What a great performance!
Thanks for the great week folks and see you next year.
Here is a video highlight of Darin and Brooke Aldridge at their Monday night IBMA selected showcase.

The Privilege of a Great Dad

Posted on: June 21st, 2009 by 2 Comments

On this Father’s Day, I find myself thinking of and being privileged to have had a truly wonderful father. His name was Bob Collins. He was a simple man, who loved his family and who was always willing to put his family first. He easily showed his love and always demonstrated a positive attitude, no matter what problems were going on behind the scenes. He was a great listener and loved to hear about what interested other people. He was very artistic and especially loved to work with wood. I have a house full of beautiful art he created over the years. He was consistent in his discipline and through love, directed me in the right direction in preparation for life. He lived a life of faith in God by example, seeing to it that the family was always involved in church activities. Yep, I am indeed privileged to have had such a rich blessing in life. Bob Collins, among other things, was a great dad who I miss every day…but especially today on this Father’s Day.Bob Collins
