Asheville Music Publishing & Chris White Music Sign New Writer

Crossroads Publishing companies Asheville Music Publishing and Chris White Music are pleased to announce the addition of Larry Collie to our list of staff writers. Larry has been sending songs in on a song by song basis now for a while, but has been very consistent in his writing. Just in the last four months we have had cuts by The Inspirations, The Dove Brothers, Calvary’s Voice and Cross4Crowns. Larry states, “This is a dream come true for me to be a part of such a great company as Crossroads, and I am blown away at how quickly we have gotten cuts.”
Greg Bentley, Director of Publishing states, “Larry has sent some great songs in that are not only strong lyrically, but have great melodies too. I feel this is going to be a great combination to put some strong songs in the artist hands.”

Crossroads Music Publishing Companies Receive BMI Awards

Crossroads publishing companies, Chris White Music, Asheville Music Publishing & Pisgah Ridge Music received awards at the BMI Christian Music Awards on April 18th in Nashville. Two songs from the catalogs were honored. “No Doubt Salvation” written by Jeff Weeks and recorded by the Palmetto State Quartet, and “I Can Pray” written by Nathan Markee and recorded by The Dove Brothers. Chris White states “We have some wonderful writers with our company and are proud of each and every one. Nathan’s song “I Can Pray” is one of those rare songs that comes along that will live for years because of the timeless message.” Congratulations to Nathan and Jeff on their accomplishments as writers.

I Can Pray In Choir Arrangement

One of the biggest songs for 2007-2008 was “I Can Pray” written by Nathan Markee and recorded by The Dove Brothers. This great song has now been picked up by Camp Kirkland in the new choral arrangement titled “He Still Speaks” released through Prism Music. This work not only contains “I Can Pray”, but many great southern gospel songs like “His Life For Mine, Mountain Mover and Built On The Rock” for your church choir to enjoy singing. Thanks to Camp Kirkland for putting “I Can Pray” into a whole new realm of christian music.
