Radio Download Site a Thumbs Up! Fri, 29 Jan 2010 17:23:07 +0000 When we launched the Crossroads Radio Distribution Services (CRDS) website at the beginning of 2009, we were setting sail in some uncharted waters. Thankfully, the deejay download service has proven to be a bonafide “radio hit,” with nearly 500 users and new sign-ups coming in every week!

A recent deejay message complimenting the service prompted me to go back and find a few of the many others we’ve received about it. You’ll find them below.

If you’re a deejay reading this, anywhere in the world, and you haven’t signed up to access our singles, please do that today! If you’re already a user, please tell your deejay friends about it!

And thanks for playing and supporting Crossroads music!

Sincerely, Jim Stover

Thank you so much for what you do for the promotion of Southern Gospel Music for the Glory of God!!! Man oh Man, this independent DJ is living in heaven on earth after entering your site and browsing your selections. I’m uploading now for airplay as I type and just wanted to say Thank you to you and all your fabulous talented artists and songwriters that make this all possible for me to share with my listeners. May God richly reward you and yours ! Do Keep in touch.
Till HE takes us home, Randy Negley / 365Live

Just a note to say THANKS for making your site so “DJ user friendly.”  Appreciate it!
Simply Southern Gospel

Thanks for the great music you guys are offering on the dj download website..  It makes it very handy to get new releases and you always put such quality songs and artists on the site.  Some throw in so many artists many of which are unworthy of airplay that you have to filter through them to pick the quality out. But yours is all quality and we appreciate that.
Wes B., Oklahoma

Thank YOU for letting me know when new songs are available; the download thing is the only way to go, as far as I’m concerned.
Fred A., KLLN Newark, AR

The 320kbs files are outstanding!!!! Hat’s off my friend! Thanks.

The Write Stuff! Mon, 10 Aug 2009 20:36:25 +0000 Simply put she’s the cream of the crop and we’re very proud to pass on this WGOG press release involving our legendary songwriting friend and Asheville Music Publishing writer, Sandy Knight. Her impressive list of hits includes “Mighty Deep Well,” “You Keep Praying,” “The Next Cloud,” “I’ll Not Turn My Back On Him Now,” “In the Twinkle of an Eye,” “One More Miracle” and “Hit the Ground Running.”

The first Eagle Award to be given  annually by 96.3 WGOG for the Southern gospel music Artist of the Year was presented Saturday at the station’s 50th Anniversary Gospel Music Concert held at the Walhalla Civic Auditorium.

Sandy Stephens Knight, a Walhalla native who has garnered international and national awards for her twenty-five years of songwriting and singing in the family group The Roy Knight Singers based in Six Mile, was named recipient of the Eagle.

A near-capacity audience was on hand as the award was presented by Wayne Morton, 96.3 WGOG’s operations manager and host of The Golden Corner Gospel program heard Sunday mornings. Auditorium director Ray Burroughs and former announcer and on-air program host for WSNW in Seneca – our sister station – Freeman Martin assisted in the presentation.

As the station’s 50th anniversary observance continues, 96.3 WGOG will welcome the internationally-known bluegrass group Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver to the Walhalla Civic Auditorium August 21, 2009.

At Walhalla Civic Auditorium in the “golden corner” of up-state South Carolina pictured L-R are: Wayne Morton of 96.3 WGOG, Roy Knight, Sandy Knight, Freeman Martin, and Ray Burroughs of the Walhalla Civic Auditorium.

People Get Ready! Thu, 23 Jul 2009 20:41:43 +0000 When a song gives your innermost being goosebumps, well, that is one very special song! Call me a tease if you please, but there’s a beauty coming your way soon that has the ability to impact countless hearts and lives.

It’s called “I Want My Stage To Be An Altar” and was written by Nick Akin and beautifully performed by his father David, Nick, and his brothers Eli and Dave. The family group simply goes by The Akins.

That’s all I’ll say right now, other than please be listening! “I Want My Stage To Be An Altar” is coming to a radio station near you next month.

The powerful composition will stir your spirit every time you hear it, and it could become the clarion call that leads many to a renewed commitment for Christ.
